Donald G. Jorgensen, Ph.D., CEAP

Donald G. Jorgensen is president of The Jorgensen Brooks Group of Tucson, Arizona. (USA). Dr. Jorgensen provides employee assistance program consultation, drug-free workplace training, leadership development and Behavioral Health accreditation preparation worldwide. He is past president of the international Employee Assistance Professionals Association. He has also served on the Arizona State Board of Behavioral Health Examiners and is past president of Greater Tucson Leadership. Previously Dr. Jorgensen established addiction treatment programs for adults and modeled programs for children of alcoholics in California and Arizona. He is a speaker and consultant for treatment centers, EAPs, corporations and professional conferences in North America, Europe and Asia. Dr. Jorgensen has authored numerous publications including Counseling Children of Alcoholics: A Treatment Guide and Secrets Told by Children of Alcoholics: What Concerned Adults Need to Know (co-author), “Creating a Drug-Free Workplace,” “Preventing Workplace Violence,” and “The EAP Buyers Guide.” He has twice been named Arizona EAP Professional of the Year (the award has been renamed in his honor). Dr. Jorgensen founded Jorgensen Healthcare Associates, Inc (Jorgensen Brooks Group) in 1991.

 

Karen Bazinet, PHR, Vice-President/Director of Operations

Karen Bazinet provides more than 20 years experience in human resource administration, office management, business accounting, data management services, and communications services in both the public and private sectors.  Ms. Bazinet is a certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and oversees all HR functions, information management services, telephone and business service coordination for Jorgensen/Brooks.  Ms. Bazinet manages all contracts for services. She provides assistance for affiliate network coordination, communications and materials delivery.  Ms. Bazinet currently serves as the Communications Director for the Central Arizona Human Resource Management (CAHRMA) SHRM Chapter.

 

Deborah Carr, RN, MS, CEAP EAP Director

Deborah Carr, National EAP Director for Jorgensen Brooks Group, is a registered nurse (1973) and holds a masters degree from Lesley College in Cambridge, MA. She has served as President of the Occupational Professional Consultants Association and an international speaker on employee assistance. Ms. Carr offers two decades of professional EAP experience, including development and operation of the first private EAP consortium established on the island of Bermuda. Ms. Carr also provides consultation and training in leadership development, conflict resolution and effective supervision.

 

Melanie Larson, Marketing Director

Melanie Larson provides over 35 years experience in business administration, marketing, sales, account management and client relations in both the public and private sector.  As Marketing Director for Jorgensen Brooks Group, Ms. Larson handles all corporate communication and marketing efforts and  works as the direct liaison with brokers and clients on designing the services that will best serve their needs.

 

Brandy Ferrer, Training Coordinator

Brandy Ferrer  has over 7 years experience in the Training and Development field.  During this time Ms. Ferrer  has developed, delivered, and maintained an array of technical, job embedded, soft skill and professional trainings.   Ms. Ferrer has also been involved in building and sustaining the learning function in several organizations both in the public and private sectors.  Ms. Ferrer’s  accomplishments include; managing a variety of regional and nationwide training programs, training/coaching of trainers and successful creation and development of a workplace mentor program.
