Donald G. Jorgensen, Ph.D., CEAP
Donald G. Jorgensen is president of The Jorgensen/Brooks Group of Tucson, Arizona. (USA). Dr. Jorgensen provides employee assistance program consultation, drug-free workplace training, leadership development and BH accreditation preparation worldwide. He is past president of the international Employee Assistance Professionals Association. He has also served on the Arizona State Board of Behavioral Health Examiners and is past president of Greater Tucson Leadership. Previously Dr. Jorgensen established addiction treatment programs for adults and model programs for children of alcoholics in California and Arizona. He is a speaker and consultant for treatment centers, EAPs, corporations and professional conferences in North America, Europe and Asia. Dr. Jorgensen has authored numerous publications including Counseling Children of Alcoholics: A Treatment Guide and Secrets Told by Children of Alcoholics: What Concerned Adults Need to Know (co-author), “Creating a Drug-Free Workplace,” “Preventing Workplace Violence,” and “The EAP Buyers Guide.” He has twice been named Arizona EAP Professional of the Year (the award has been renamed in his honor). Dr. Jorgensen founded Jorgensen Healthcare Associates, Inc (Jorgensen Brooks Group) in 1991.
Randal E. Brooks, MA, LPC, LISAC, CEAP
Randy Brooks is Vice-President of Jorgensen Brooks Group, and has worked in the EAP, addiction and behavioral health fields for more than forty years as a therapist, trainer, speaker, critical incident expert, administrator and clincial supervisor. He is known internationally for his work in critical incident stress management, peer support, business development, clinical services and conflict resolution. He is also an expert regarding behavioral health and addiction issues (including gambling) and has presented on these topics throughout the US, Europe and Africa. Randy has been a board member of the Employee Assistance Professional Association (EAPA) and a commissioner on the Employee Assistance Certification Commission. He has been awarded the employee assistance professional of the year award (Southern Arizona Chapter) and has received numerous awards from Rotary International and the Rotary Foundation for volunteer work around the world – including South America and Africa. Randy has received awards from the Mayor of Tucson and attended Greater Tucson Leadership. In 2009 Rotary International awarded Randy the opportunity to lead a “GSE” team of professionals to South Africa for a month to learn about business, culture and opportunities to serve those less fortunate. He has traveled extensively working to improve lives around the globe.
Deborah Carr, RN, MS, CEAP EAP Director
National EAP Director for Jorgensen/Brooks Group, Ms. Carr is a registered nurse (1973) and holds a masters degree from Lesley College in Cambridge, MA. She has served as vice-president of the Occupational Professional Consultants Association and an international speaker on employee assistance. Ms. Carr offers two decades of professional EAP experience, including development and operation of the first private EAP consortium established on the island of Bermuda. Ms. Carr also provides consultation and training in leadership development, conflict resolution and effective supervision.
Karen Bazinet, PHR, Administrative Service Director
Ms. Bazinet provides more than 20 years experience in human resource administration, office management, business accounting, data management services, and communications services in both the public and private sector. Ms. Bazinet is a certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and oversees all HR functions, information management services, telephone and business service coordination for Jorgensen/Brooks. She provides assistance for affiliate network coordination, communications and materials delivery.
